Omsk Region Summer: A Season Full of Discoveries
Late May saw a grand opening of the summer tourist season on Muzeynaya Street: 20 municipal districts of the region presented their landmarks and weekend travel routes, while the creative teams of the “Siberian” Cultural Center delivered a 6‑hour concert.
The “Lyubinsky.Travel” exhibition‑fair was organized by the Tourist Information Center with the support of the regional Ministry of Culture.
Kickstarting the Tourism Season

Photo zones inviting people to travel were created by the “Bright Brand” company

The vibrant colors symbolize the rich variety of the region’s tourism opportunities

After taking a photo here, you’ll definitely want to visit Lake Ebeyty for real!

The nature of Western Siberia makes active recreation possible

Our traditions are also strong, as shown by the city libraries’ exhibition area

And, of course, “Omsk Is Its People” — and soon they’ll be sharing their stories at this stand

An energetic “road‑themed” performance kicks off the official opening of the exhibition

On stage are the charming biker girls from the “Raspberry” Dance Project

The symbolic start to the season was given by Svetlana Bakulina, Deputy Minister of Culture of the region
Weekend Trip Ideas

Now is the perfect time to stroll along Muzeynaya Street and explore the stands of the Omsk Region districts

In Kalachinsk, they’re reconstructing the everyday life of the Shirvan Regiment, which was once stationed there

The city museum also has plenty to offer tourists from the neighboring metropolis

The Gorkovsky District, like many others today, is represented by a folk ensemble

Technological progress doesn’t hinder — it actually helps — the performance of traditional songs

But no matter what, the accordion is the soul of any celebration!

You can buy unique items made by local artists and craftsmen all around the venue

A craftswoman from Nazyvaevsk is demonstrating her skills

Perhaps another elegant belt will be finished by the end of the day

Only a little fabric and thread are needed to make a traditional doll

The team from Nazyvaevsk invites everyone to try making souvenirs themselves

By the way, the 100th anniversary of the Nazyvaevsky District will be celebrated on August 10

Bolsherechensky Zoo brought exhibits that can easily handle a 200‑km journey

Nearby, straw dolls are “dancing” on the table — you just have to keep the rhythm

These are dolls sculpted by trimming: they’ve long been made to delight children, and now they’re bringing joy to the people of Omsk

Bolsherechye also features an excellent collection of vintage cars — more than 30 vehicles!

Just a hundred meters to the right, and we’re already listening to residents of the Azovsky District

It seems these performers can turn anything into a musical instrument

Omsk’s creative associations are also represented on Muzeynaya Street

The artists of “Your Omsk” project love plein‑air painting and inspire others to embrace art

Anyone can create a watercolor illustration like this — with guidance from a mentor

These are the rare quiet moments when no one is waiting to get their hairstyle done

But now the stylist is back at work, and another resident of Omsk will remember the exhibition‑fair for a long time

And some memories may be shorter, but no less vivid!

The inflatable “cottage” from the Poltavsky District is decorated with authentic household items

Here, you can try on a scarf and take memorable photos by the spinning wheel or the samovar

The hostess herself is happy to pose in the cozy corner of the mobile tent

An elegant Baba Yaga represents the “Vasin Khutor” Fairy Tale Museum in the Politotdel settlement

Fun games with young visitors spontaneously break out along the alley

The museum’s folk programs are available year‑round, including with transfer services

The Lyubinsky District’s good transport links make it ideal for hosting large events

On July 13, the “Tsar Days” festival will begin there, dedicated to an episode from the life of the Romanov family

The Krutinskie Lakes are another growing brand of the region, gaining popularity among tourists

The hospitality of the Moskalensky District is well known to everyone who has visited Lake Ebeyty

Just the sight of a golden-crusted loaf is enough to make you consider a weekend trip here!

The Odessky District invites you to the “Cossack Fish Soup” Festival, which will take place on August 10

The Omskiy District is home to the dendropark named after the breeder Pavel Komissarov

At the dendropark’s stand, workshops on working with natural materials are held

The Okoneshnikovsky District proudly showcases the famous carpets from the village of Krestiki

The colorful photo zone of Poltavka village is never empty

Around 3 PM, folk dance enthusiasts gather near the “Hermitage‑Siberia” center

Mass folk dances are another way to draw attention to the “Summer Gathering" Festival

It will take place in Bolsherechye very soon — on June 22 and 23

Large Siberian Round Dances will be part of the festival program

This grand spectacle, with two hundred participants, will unfold on a picturesque meadow by the river

By 6 PM, mostly Omsk craftsmen remain at the fair stalls

You can take another moment to admire the skillful items in the fading sunlight

Now it’s time to say goodbye to the keepers of tradition — until we meet again on their own turf!
Grand Finale

The multi‑hour concert is drawing to a close on the square in front of the Omsk State Medical University building

For the entire final hour, the stage belongs to the acapella group “Project P”

They have no instruments, but the vocal arrangements of each song are mesmerizing

During a break, a beatboxer runs an interactive game with the audience, exploring unusual sounds

The spectators are utterly captivated — especially those attending the band’s performance for the first time

“The possibilities of the human voice are limitless!”, the musicians firmly believe

A guitar was needed only for the final song…

…but after the first verse, the rest of the band joined the soloist

And, of course, their signature multi‑part harmony returned, perfectly mimicking a full orchestra

This is how “Project P” put a vibrant exclamation mark on the day’s packed program

Among the fans of their vocal style is Svetlana Bakulina, Deputy Minister of Culture of the region

The showcase of Omsk Region’s attractions has been a success, and even nature itself seems to have absorbed the energy of all the people who came to Muzeynaya Street today!
