Circus Kids: Ovation for Young Talents
A three‑day “Fun Arena” circus festival brought together nearly 400 young performers aged 7–18 on the welcoming stage of the Omsk Circus. Participants came from all over the country — from St. Petersburg to Ulan‑Ude. The gala concert gave the audience a showcase of the most spectacular acts in acrobatics, juggling, and aerial gymnastics.
Prologue
Two competition days are behind us — now the entire festival cast takes the arena
The gala program features the best, most diverse performances
Young artists and their mentors truly value the chance to perform on a real circus stage
The festival launched in 2017: that year, circus studios from the region shared their experience
In 2019, Omsk performers worked together with groups from 9 cities across the Urals and Siberia
By 2022, the festival’s prestige had grown significantly — the Omsk Circus became its permanent partner

The kids juggle in pairs and groups, creating complex rhythmic patterns
The performance is incredibly dynamic, yet one can still take a moment to notice each performer
We could watch them for ages, but the gala concert has its own schedule to keep
The directors of the Omsk “Likodemia” circus studio chose a challenging theme
They called the act “In Memory” — simple, yet full of meaning
The theatrical action unfolds both on the arena and under the dome
With aerial gymnastics, one can express the most tragic emotions…
…and also make the audience feel the joy of a miraculous rescue
The ending is uplifting: from here on, the story will have a happy turn
While the props are being swapped out, the Omsk “Artist” studio returns to the arena
The audience applauds not just them, but all the young circus performers
The “Coda” performance neatly ties together the work of acrobats, gymnasts, and jugglers
Meet Elizaveta Voinova — she’s representing Tula at the festival
She’s from the “Masters of Air” school of circus arts and aerial gymnastics
Her act, inspired by the life of birds, is called “Kesha Is Good”
The delicate girl fearlessly crosses space in every direction…
…never forgetting to smile at the audience
The speeds are dizzying, and the effect is absolutely breathtaking!
Next comes “Kupala Night”
In circus terms, it’s an original genre — rope skipping
The “Ikar” studio from Tyumen introduces us to the folklore twist
With every second, the group jumps grow more complex
While some are just bouncing in place, others must execute a somersault
Success comes from charisma and hard training — no magic involved!
The arena is back in the hands of the Omsk performers
Sofya Kubyshkina and Maxim Dubrovin perform a quadrille
Both are trainees at the exemplary “Rainbow” circus studio
The cheerful dance lets the duo showcase their acting skills
Their juggling is just as flawless
Grateful spectators keep cheering for their hometown artists for a long time
Gala’s Climax
The gala concert reaches its climax: Anastasia Tishchenko takes the arena
Her act, “Polyanitsa,” references the image of a female warrior from Russian epics
This fits perfectly with the style of the “Arlekino” studio — an exemplary children’s collective from the Altai Territory
The most difficult part of the acrobatic study will be performed blindfolded
The audience watches the archery setup with bated breath
The approach to the shooting position is choreographed from a full turnaround
It’s incredible: a fast, precise, elegant hit on target!
The performer is absolutely bathed in applause
The Grand Prix is presented to her by Alexander Kuzyukov from Omsk — a Paralympic fencing champion
Grand Finale
Perhaps all that’s left is to peek a hundred years into the future
The jugglers from “Circus Time” (Krasnoyarsk) are happy to help with that
And they’ll be backed up vocally by the Omsk pop choir “DoReMix” from the Oktyabrsky District Arts Center
The final production, “Miracles Happen!”, features more than 10 performers
In groups, they simultaneously execute a wide variety of acrobatic tricks
“Kras Circus” from Krasnoyarsk knows how to amaze — and they do it with joy
That’s why, after the act, the team was asked to stay onstage for a moment…
…to receive a special Grand Prix for mixed‑age teams
Isn’t this the purest moment of happiness for the artists and their mentors?
Meanwhile, the “Arlekino” studio (Barnaul) is named the festival’s best circus collective
The evening’s final chord is a balloon flash mob with audience participation
