My Website Is Coming to Life!
Today we put together the first version of the FestRider Photo Blog website. Here is what we have planned:
- a fun, engaging homepage;
- a handy photo story navigator with filtering;
- a map of festivals and holidays we have covered;
- an informative page about the project;
- and, of course, the news feed you are reading right now!
I’ve been shooting events for a long time, but only in 2023 did I start focusing on event tourism and making deliberate trips from my hometown of Omsk. At first, my reports were published on the municipal portal and on social media, then only on social media. I wanted more: that’s how the idea of my own blog came about — one that would speak English and account for all the nuances of how I present information.
This year the concept finally took shape: I came up with the name and won a grant from the Student IT Lab to bring the project to life. July and August are months of intensive work on the website, the admin panel and, of course, the content.
I’ve been lucky with my team — they are responsible young people with burning eyes! Our developer knows all the right technologies and is on first-name terms with neural networks, our designer has impeccable taste, and our manager keeps every process running so smoothly that I barely notice it — which is, no doubt, a great sign in itself. There’s still plenty to set up and test, but we are confidently heading toward the finish line, and I’ll tell you all about it in a month!
