“Gingerbreads” Are Running Late, but I Will Get Them “Baked”

While the team is busy with the site’s design and code, I have started work on a detailed story about the gastronomic festival “Kolmakov Gingerbread” in Zavodoukovsk. More than 400 photos made it through the initial selection — no surprise for a five-hour shoot, but it does make putting the story together a responsible and time-consuming process.

I am planning to show in detail the colorful gingerbread procession, traditional sweets being baked right in front of the festival guests, a gingerbread-decorating masterclass and, of course, the making and handing out of the “Farewell Gingerbread“ — the main art piece of the day. Plus the “Threads of Siberia” fashion shows, which were not directly about gingerbread but fit the main theme of this Siberian celebration perfectly.

The organizers streamed everything happening on the main stage, and the recording is available in the festival’s community. That should help me get the names of the honorary guests and fashion designers right — they always slip away during an intense shoot.
