Victory Tram: Songs to the Clatter of the Wheels

Omsk, Route 4 Tram
Full Story: 36 photosQuick Impression: 15 photos
The decorated tram sets off on its first musical run from Kotelnikova Street
For the special runs, the car is equipped with a large screen and speakers
The performers are looking forward to this new and unusual concert experience
With the returning‑trip passengers, it all happens again: they’re pleasantly surprised and sing along
And now, the first wartime song rings out!
Passengers are given brochures with the lyrics and invited to sing along
Between songs, the girls from the theatre studio read poignant poems about the war
The run lasts 66 minutes, and the program never stops during that time
The most popular songs are familiar even to the younger generation
Just five minutes of rest at the terminus — and it’s time to head back!
The car heading toward the city center fills up very quickly
The program includes some rarely performed songs that are safer to sing from sheet music
On this cheerful note in every sense, the shift of the Sverdlov Cultural Center comes to an end
Let’s wish a safe journey to the experienced and charming driver of the Victory Tram
More than ten more musical runs are ahead, with different performance teams
