The "Phoenix" Festival in Azovo

Today I visited the "Phoenix" festival in Azovo — the center of the Azovo German National District of Omsk region. The day’s key event was the opening of a German homestead, a new exhibition space recreating a traditional rural house of Russian Germans from the early last century.

Inside, the living-room interiors and even the pet areas were lovingly recreated.

I took three thousand photos, bought pastries from a legendary German bakery in nearby Aleksandrovka, and stayed true to my principle of shooting until the very end of the event. In the end, I’m the only one with footage of the full performance by the phenomenal Liberty string quartet, whose concerts I now warmly recommend in person!
